The Sixth Form Centre at Saint Martin’s is situated in the coach house and old stable block of Malvern Hall, and is set away from the main buildings. The Centre is spacious with a purpose built common room and attractive study areas.
The Sixth Form is large enough for a wide range of courses to be on offer but small enough for lessons to be of a tutorial style in nature. Our teaching groups enable individual care and attention that bring out the best in students, with staff who are approachable, supportive and enthusiastic, and achieve excellent results. A strong tutorial network is provided.
All Sixth Form students have the opportunity to take on positions of responsibility within the school, developing teamwork, communication and leadership skills. An extensive programme of extra-curricular activities is available.
AS and A2 courses require students to study intensively over the two year period of the Sixth Form as competition for places at well respected Universities is fierce. One grade in one subject is often the deciding factor in achieving entry to a student’s first choice of a University course. We provide high quality Careers and Higher Education guidance. Students are given plenty of support with their University applications and it is the aim for all students to have their UCAS applications completed and ready to send early in the Autumn Term of the Upper Sixth.
