Throughout the School our curriculum is tailored to the needs of the girls. In Nusery and Reception the curriculum is that of the Early Years Foundation Stage and then in the years that follow it is broadly based on the National Curriculum but with many important additions.
The progress through the curriculum is assessed by tests and examinations as deemed appropriate by staff. A wide range of GCSEs are on offer, as well as AS and A2 courses. It is not unusual for individual girls to take GCSE courses of their choice such as Astronomy, Bengali, Greek or Russian.
In additon to their four A Levels in the Lower Sixth, Sixth Form students enjoy choosing courses that are of a particular interest to them from those on offer from the Open University Young Applicants Scheme.
It is important to us that we meet the individual needs of our pupils whenever possible.
The new guidance on post-16 study choices called "Informed Choices", recommended at our Sixth Form Information Evening, is only available electronically - please click on Russell Group to view. For further information please visit www.russellgroup.ac.uk.
